To be perfectly honest, fiction isn’t my strongest suit, but with several months of research ahead, I thought that social media might be an interesting place to learn how to build my dialogues and share my actual calculations.

That Simon finally finds joy at the beach w/o his littermate Garson is a kind of cruel kindness. Nearly one year later, he can smile. Almost one year later, he can wag his tail and approach other pups. And yet — I can hardly relate how he's also struggling. How he's trying but remembering. My boy.

Rural Identity Politics 101: Control voter sentiment + stall renewables = artificial headwinds for donor-backed competitors.
Then 'favored donors' scoop up land, permits, contracts (cheaply) while rivals are blocked.
If 'favored donors' are playing both fossil and renewables? They'll win twice.

I’ve been quieter here than usual.
Losing Garson, Simon's littermate, took more out of me than I can say.
Today, it feels right to begin again — with Simon still by my side.
