Making new stuff is hell rn. I'm always asked if there's any IP I wanna do, but if I say a famous one it's already being done by someone famous, and if I say an obscure one then no one's heard of it and they don't wanna do it. It's all about finding the right mediocre IP that someone half-remembers.

I think the worst thing millennials ever did was ironically start using the word "bro" in the late 2000's/early 2010's and now people use it normally and it's not tongue-in-cheek at all.

I did it too. I blame myself and everyone I knew back then. We didn't know.

Think of how much easier everything in our lives would be if we just had universal healthcare.

No signing up by the correct date
No making sure some family member is on it or you have the right form.
No thinking about "if I don't have this job how will I afford my medication"

Just so much easier.

Why does every single person who brings up bad apples seem to forget that the entire phrase is "One bad apple spoils the bunch"?

I'm not looking for every person to have absolute literacy on every subject, but I really think this one should be a baseline "do you understand English idioms" phrase.

One time my friends and I were talking about anime and my grandma was in the room with us and she silently walked over to the side table, got her ipad, and just started reading the wikipedia page for the word "anime" and that's what I aspire to be.

I think that if I was a government official and people were calling me spineless all the time I would take offense to it and do something rectify this perception, but I guess if you're ACTUALLY spineless then yeah, continuing to be spineless makes sense.

When most people complain "they can't do that in movies anymore" they're almost always talking about not being allowed to be racist or some shit.

When *I* complain about it, it's because no one would be brave enough to make an alien just smoke a cigar like it's a normal thing and not commented on.

I just found out that the movie Charade (1963) starring Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn went into the public domain as soon as it released because the credits didn't have the word "copyright" in them, which you needed before 1978, and that is simply delicious.

Costco cheese pizza is the best chain cheese pizza.

Price + amount of cheese + amount of food + flavor = top cheese pizza

The amount of cheese on one of those bad boys is crazy. It's like a quarter of an inch thick with cheese! No one does that much cheese even when it's a more expensive pizza!

EXACTLY. $1B for a movie that is by many accounts almost unwatchable. And teens have ALWAYS loved horror. Why is horror doing so well right now? Because it's the one genre that hasn't left teens and 20 somethings behind.

You have to be able to legally drink to even have strong memories of seeing the last TRON movie in a theater. ARES was a movie made for my generation and we don't need third spaces the way Gen Alpha and Gen Z do.
