Programming Update: Spectrum’s programs on Tuesday, October 21 are moving to fully virtual. The following slides have a statement from Executive Director, Suzie Taka.

Spectrum has been made aware of planned
Anti-2SLGBTQIA+ actions targeting local queer events and program - this information came directly from the Waterloo Region Police Service who are taking the situation seriously. Out of an abundance of caution we are pivoting tonight's groups to virtual.

For over a decade Spectrum has supported and provided a welcoming space for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and nothing will stop that. We will resume in-person programs ASAP and continue to update our community with any details.

2SLGBTQIA+ people have always been here.
We will always be here. We will stay safe without hiding. We will continue to show up for each other, ourselves, and our community.
