Today was amazing.
I finished a pair of earrings at work that took roughly 44hrs. I got my accurate passport. I got a care package from @xplainthexmen.bsky.social . I'm getting fancy pizza.

Uline's owners "have used their wealth to funnel millions of dollars into the most extreme RW politicians & mvmts... contributed $144 million to conservative groups in the 2024 election cycle... donated $4+ million to bankroll anti-abortion groups who pushed to overturn Roe v Wade."

Now I just have to figure out where to put it because I don't want the dog to share it because its not big enough. But the dog will want to share if he can access it.

I say he's bougie because he clearly wants a fountain. He drinks from the bowl currently but I think he spent more time drinking in the sink tonight than any other full day at the bowl.

I learned tonight that Jellyman Kelly is both bougie (I turned the sink on real low & he was so happy to be drinking moving water) and very very orange (he couldn't get a good angle so he just let the water run over his head).
A white and orange cat in a sink with a thin stream of water running on his head. A pleased white cat with orange markings who's head is soaked with water licking his nose.

Rest in peace, Miss Major.

We will carry the bricks forward.

The trailblazing transgender rights activist Miss Major has passed away at the age of 78.

Miss Major was a lifelong organizer and participant in the ballroom scene. She took part in the 1969 Stonewall Riots and was injured by the police — but she kept fighting.

If you know a jeweler or someone with a big collection who could use organization or display bits, send them this way because I'd love to pass this along instead of sending it to a thrift shop where it might just become trash.

I am hoping to be able to take pics & quick inventory everything next week.
In the interim, some of it is already mentioned in my long bead-purge thread here.

If you're not PDX local I'll ask you to pay shipping. But otherwise this stuff is all free to a good home.
If you are PDX local we can arrange a pick-up spot.

I've been clearing out our very old storage unit and have a LOT of old displays.
Bunches of different earring displays, necklace displays, velvet lined book boxes, etc.
We don't use any of that style display anymore & I don't want to just throw it away.
If you are interested ping me in this post...

Also a truly ludicrous number of "steampunk shabby-chic" book boxes.

Found a ton more displays which I'll be purging next week.
Displays include more of all of these plastic type and a couple other similar styles.

Bring me a Hunter print home? Pretty pretty please?

The hanger bars are L-shaped on the back side.
optimysticals.bsky.social
Ok, unless I have more of the clear plastic hanger chunks in a box somewhere in storage I have 4 of the spinners with enough extra parts for 5 more (which makes me think there is a second box of parts in storage)
optimysticals.bsky.social
And I'm counting up how many of these spinner displays I have.
optimysticals.bsky.social
There are also a bunch of these displays that will hold either cards or just loose earrings. But I'm pretty sure I thought I'd already gotten rid of these so I think I tossed the feet.
New feet could be pretty easily made with acrylic & a lazor cutter. But ya know full disclosure.

I have 7 plastic displays for carded jewelry, 7 velvet pop up busts, and 4 tall velvet t-bars:
