sure it might be expensive but it's a big step forward in at least reducing large scale emitters, both public (power stations) and private (smelters, foundries, rare earths processing sites)

build it on the coast obviously, with security zones as standard because it's a nuclear reactor

build up stored - energy dams and reservoirs for cooling water reserves, while also having feedwater coming from desalination plants.

I'd rather this with the level of over-protection and oversight nuclear has, compared to a coal-burning power plant.

Probably more to be quite honest.

Russia, China and Iran obviously wouldn't be the only ones. Even supposed allies will if a dissident of significance or someone with information that may place a government at risk (whether driven by government policies or norms etc)
