Over 150,000 Indigenous children in so-called Canada were forced to leave their families to attend residential schools aimed at assimilation and erasing their cultures.

The horrific abuse and murder perpetrated on these children are well-documented and proven.

More has to be done to rectify.

It has been a decade since the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) released its final report, issuing 94 calls to action to address the systemic and generational abuse caused by Canada’s residential school system.

Of the 94 calls to action only around a dozen have been completed to date.
