#QuickSidenote I’ll save ya the hassle of sending me some hate… “Joy and Pain,” with its nod to Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, peaked at #58 on the US #Billboard #Top40. “Get On the Dance Floor” might have torn up dance charts (and floors), but it didn’t cross over onto the Hot 100. #OneHitWondered

#QuickSidenote Lyn Collins’ 1972 “Think (About It)” gave hip-hop its first big ‘break,’ and it’s one of the most-used samples in music history (whether hip-hop, house, new jack swing, or jungle). Rumor says that the ‘Woo’ was James Brown and the ‘Yeah’ was Bobby Byrd. #OneHitWondered

#Interestingly The engine that made “It Takes Two” move was a monster sample from Lyn Collins’ 1972 James Brown-penned & produced “Think (About It),” featuring backing from The J.B.'s and the legendary Jabo Starks on drums… #LynCollins #JamesBrown #JaboStarks #OneHitWondered

#Interestingly “It Takes Two” by Rob Base & D.J. E-Z Rock was a platinum smash... A pure adrenaline shot that still packs dance floors to this day. Structure was simple & deadly… Call-and-response hook, crisp scratches, and verses built for crowd control. #OneHitWondered

#2HitTuesdays Bill tossin' up a great ending to a 2-Hit Tuesday...! "More More More" was a big hit for the Andrea True Connection, peaking at #4 on the Billboard #Top40. I've seen it listed on quite a few One-Hit wonder lists, but the problem with that is... she had a 2nd #Top40 hit! #OneHitWondered
