.. but the way you hear people talk about it, it's just. "you go to SPACE! the INTERNET! Ghost in the shell!! 52 missions!! Branching paths and factions!" and yeah that sounds DOPE but it's the execution of it all ..

I think the fan translation is super cool and it is a shame that it released in the US in such a compromised form in the first place, but this was sorta how I came off Ace Combat 3. Very weird and ambitious but ultimately deeply flawed followup to ace combat 2, not as #solid as AC04..

You can sorta see where they'd wished to have gone Bigger as far as a single-player campaign goes in this. Unfortunately, the days of salvaging gold from a disaster in less than a year in these troubled gaming productions is long, long behind us. This is like, MW3 reboot level bad.

It is a #fascinating failure imo, to me at least. This was supposed to be a BIG deal, the campaign - an entire studio helmed by Marcus Lehto, one of the big Halo top dogs! And then he leaves that studio. One day later the studio shuts down. Well, we gotta put SOME sorta campaign into our next game..
