This is a really fucking good and thorough read on such an asinine incident. I only know of Piker (I have zero interest in political/culture streamers, even progressive ones) but the fact that this became such “a thing” is troubling.

TL;DR: No amount of truth will ever stop determined liars.

The Hasan Piker dog collar incident shows that proponents of the surveillance state, like Larry Ellison, who claimed that mass video surveillance would lead to more accountability, are catastrophically wrong.
