as an italian-american and a new yorker... Cuomo repeatedly saying "disgrazia"?

no, grazie!!!!!!!!!
genuinely unwell at George Pataki and Rudy Giuliani being named as "best political leaders" in this debate
Finally we've hit NYC-specific issues like the price of groceries and rent!!!!!

Cuomo, Sliwa & Mamdani all say they spend between $120-$150 on groceries a week.

Mamdani was attacked for living in a $2300/month rent-stabilized apartment, with Cuomo saying it should be given to a low-income person.
Sliwa's only notable quotable tonight: "I knew Mario Cuomo. Andrew Cuomo, you are no Mario Cuomo."
Trump, the national guard and his admin's efforts have been more of a topic of discussion than anything else during this debate thus far - there's been nothing on NYC-specific housing, transit, schools, etc
Barely into this debate and Mamdani's already had this mic-drop:

"Why would NYers turn back to the governor who sent seniors to their death in nursing homes? What I don't have an experience, I make up for an integrity. And what you don’t have in integrity, you can never make up for in experience.”

Those are emojis the FBI, NYPD, CBP and US Army have said could be signs of affiliation with the Tren de Aragua gang + part of their “code language”, internal records show.

“Just like tattoos, we could see folks rounded up + tortured based solely on their use of certain emojis”
Revealed: US law enforcement claimed emojis could signal Tren de Aragua affiliation
Claims are ‘an unsophisticated, uneducated approach that demonstrates a lack of knowledge’, says one professor

I'm increasing the number of stories I am doing starting this month. I'll continue reporting on RFK Jr and all things HHS, but I really want to do more on food systems. What would you like to see covered more?

“What shocked me, when I was kidnapped [by US immigration], was just how reminiscent that was to cases I witnessed in Syria. You would have plainclothed officers without any warrant come and take you just because of your political speech.”

Mahmoud Khalil on exile, liberation and Ice detention: ‘It was a clear act of cruelty’
His grandparents survived the Nakba and he fled Assad’s Syria. Khalil is no stranger to political persecution, but not even Trump’s crackdown can silence him

When Hope's health started declining, her parents and medical team turned to an investigational drug. It changed everything for the fearless and sassy 4-year-old.

But that drug didn't clear FDA approval in May. What happens next -- and why is it so hard to approve drugs for ultra-rare conditions?
Patients with ultra-rare diseases worry new FDA rules will leave them without treatment
Testing is difficult for drugs for rare diseases, and new rules may make it harder for sufferers to obtain life-saving drugs

Jackson's dissents this season have been incredible - incl. this one, on SCOTUS granting Trump admin request to partially stay lower court's nationwide injunctions in birthright citizenship cases:

"The majority’s ruling... is also profoundly dangerous... With deep disillusionment, I dissent."
