Wish it was my thought, it was just an offhand comment someone else made and it stuck in my brain, because it's a delicious insult.
I mean completely true!

but the 'dream' would be like 'Transport your pattern matching skills/brain to this neural net and it can do it!'

Since we did get there with the ML stuff (effectively) getting us that 90%, I'm sure if we put in infinity dollars we can...huh, 81% now.
Honestly, there are some good ones out there too like 'I'm sure she just lost your number' and 'Your coworkers definitely have a group chat they never told you about', and the old classic 'We can tell, really.'
I think it's the entire delusion that also thinks that Harris gave speeches on how israel needs to stop bombing palestine, how trans people are her most important party members, and so on.

They literally just make up things to be angry about, if they happen to overlap with reality it's a bonus.
Oh yeah.

And frankly I was assuming only light API access, no metadata. With metadata we could literally just greet the ice agents with cakes baked

With their names and home addresses on them.

'OH hi tim. I like the camo mask, I think it brings out your eyes. Glad to see you're over your cold'
To be clear I am taking about the information transfer the other direction, and would let you know where deployments are happening and when, once mapped.

They do not have operational security.
Actually if you are willing to scrape twitter and truth, cross match timestamps, you don't really need the LLM. Just do exact phrase matching, then extrapolate and search, and pull out the entire communication network.

Timestamps are way more revealing than people think.
I like how clear they are making this that it's literally just petty people upset that someone disrespected them, and his coworkers laughed at him, as the whole basis.
I mean, we can't, it's impossible, raw fiction. You can't remove the core biases from the huge model and bake in a single person's biases, and certainly not their deep pattern matching magic.

But it's like a laundry robot. Wouldn't that be nice. Impossible, but fun fantasy. Not even in 20y.
Humans can be wrong, and people can trigger false positives by repeating things without knowing context.

However.

This is one reason that black box/LLM/ml stuff is appealing. What if we could train a bot to have 95% of the accuracy of t&s, and 99.999% flagging for review? 'Behaves like you!'
Lots of important elections today, I am sure that trump will highlight where good people voted for good things by screaming about fraud in a few hours
It's actually interesting that the current generation blames Bush so much, when at the time -everyone- blamed Cheney ( original family guy did a number of jokes on it- 23 years ago!).
I feel like I might just give out DVDs to everyone this year. Some 'wait have you never seen this?', like the Nowhere 4k remaster.
I am just assuming they have a cooling solution but I honestly am waiting for the second and third order people discovering vacuum insulation ( and later, vacuum welding)
See when you say that I usually want to pet the dog/cat/horse.

But I would go to some pretty far lengths not to touch Cuomo, so done dissonance is happening.
Just to add some light fuel, this post got auto minimized because it was flagged as 'rude'.

It is wrong that now I want to check the filters with a series of new things to see if it's strictly a regex, what spellings, are there contextual confluences ( mutual follow, etc) and similar?
I am not looking forward to people bringing up Hillary's eulogy/statement, whenever she makes it, about how...etc.

Maybe the loser in an election 9 years ago isn't strictly relevant.

But I am sure it's gonna be shown shortly as proof of... something or other. Why it's bad news for Biden, etc.
And it's a seductive fantasy! Oh maybe we did just forget to carry the 1!

It gets slightly worse when you are reading minutes from meetings in the 1700s and realize that, if you do some translation of factors, they also had these problems and couldn't find a good solution, either.
I think the mute this list function is deeply underrated, for precisely this purpose.

That said, I can't say those who prefer fuck it block everyone are -wrong-.
I actually was a little sad about someone blocking me when I glanced at clear sky a while ago, because....they seemed like an interesting read/person. I have no data on why, but it seemed like maybe....but oh well.

For all I know it was a misclick! We're not star crossed lovers, onto the next!
Like, I know we're all chuckling at this, but the actual argument is 'this person made our officers look foolish so must be punished' and that's kind of terrifying.

They are furious that they were mocked.
I'm just going to think about this as a largish yellow cab drives off while I watch.
To be clear, my point is I don't know anyone who works on the field who -doesn't go look first-

Which is a flashing neon sign ( if you needed one) that 'we really want a magic bullet and we don't think there is one but God we want to be wrong'
Right?

That he is gay and out and -not- instantly desexualized is...a bigger step than people realize.

Like it or hate it, it's usually what happens!
