4/n from the toilet bowl (before adding antifreeze), and after that I just went down to the lake and rinsed off my hands. No scrubbing or repeated rituals, not even any soap. So in that regard, the CBT I did ~ 30 yrs ago, has served me very well indeed. If only I could make similar #OCDTalkHour

3/n the water system up at the cottage (if you don’t the water freezes and then you have burst pipes in the spring) involves putting some special antifreeze in the drains, and for the toilet bowl I had to fashion a scoop from a plastic water bottle and remove as much water as possible #OCDTalkHour

2/n compress a season’s worth of watching baseball on TV into a tidy time interval. I find it most interesting during the playoffs when the managers do all sorts of changes and tactics every game. On the OCD front, yeah, well, it’s still winning a fair bit. But you know, draining #OCDTalkHour

Hi Sam,
I contrast to the UK , over here in Southern Ontario we’ve been having some unseasonably pleasant weather for about the past week. It can get cool overnight but up to 20 C yesterday and it is literally mid-OCT. Other than the weather, the Blue Jays are in the ALCS so I can 1/n #OCDTalkHour

More seriously, this came up in a Facebook group/chat for people with AuADHD, or ASD-1, or asperger's, regarding mild/moderate cannabis usage (edibles?) to self-medicate anxiety. We may have covered this before (possibly?). Also in this category, maybe, psilocybin (sp?) and ketamine #OCDTalkHour

Canoes, sit on top kayaks, paddle board, aluminum row boat, we have all of those. One of my brother-in-laws has a fancier inboard/outboard motorboat that is powerful enough for water skiing but I don't mess around with it. We have a relatively small outboard on our boat for tooling around the lake

2/n it frustrating. Is the browser better than the Phone? Sort of but once again I am kind of feeling my way along to figure out where the familiar tools are. I am confident it will get better with more use. The basic layout etc for Bsky is an early clone of Twitter (as I recall).

When I am doing #OCDTalkHour, using my laptop, I tend not to use Chrome (my go to browser for most things), so I either use Safari or FireFox. I just got a new phone last week, and am still getting used to it, but also compared to Twitter the controls in Bsky are just different enough to make 1/n

What about swans? I remember reading that all of the swans in britain belong to the king, but then I remember reading that certain rightwing nutjobs were accusing "immigrants" of catching and eating said swans (which was obviously bollocks). Gosh, I hope I am using that correctly.

3/n (the one who is also afflicted with OCD) was living with us for four weeks while her apartment was being repaired (mold from a slow water leak), and now we are not using up so many paper towels, and dishes and utensils. She has a lot of food prep and eating rituals #OCDTalkHour

2/n to interact with the Bluesky UI (user interface). What can I tell you? Looking forward to Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend, except that means a lot of work closing up the family's cottage (think cabin, lake, forests, animals, long drive into the hinterland). Eldest daughter #OCDTalkHour
