I cannot fucking stand these people. They don't want to win elections. They don't want to legislate change. What they want is a perch to look down upon you from because you're the wrong kind of thing and they're the more-deeply-learned, more-deeply-committed right kind of thing. That's it.

She's still in physical therapy doing rehab after shattering her entire arm falling down the stairs while moving, but I'll talk to the PT about incorporating some exercises that better prepare and train her for direct action.

Deeply sorry that my 70y/o mom, who's never protested in her life, is so fed up with this shit she's willing to make signs with her friends and show up but isn't of sufficient moral purity that she's committed to throwing Molotov cocktails at the feds. I'll talk w/ her. She'll do better next time.

Absolutely fuck the wrong-protest-rock people. They're wreckers who don't care about anything except protest for protest's sake. That's it. It's an aesthetic. And so rather than welcoming a few million normal Americans with open arms, they instead say to them: fuck off, poseurs.

Wild to see what a stark difference wind makes. We had two straight days of 40+ mph winds and rain. It destroyed the beach! But there was *no* bay flooding by us at all. Today? No rain or wind but all of the bay streets flooded and my marina is the highest it's been. Why? No wind blowing water south

Side view - there's basically a cliff at the end of the path. Also, that jetty was completely buried beneath a few feet of sand previously - it didn't rise above the sand either on the beach or in the surf.

We've been lucky and the house had power the whole time. All day long though power was off/on at a bunch of the traffic lights, at the marina, etc. Hope you get it back soon! Surreal how the wind has been straight howling since Saturday.

Power back on at the marina and at high tide the water was about even with the bottom of the dock. Calling this a win - saved by the north wind pushing the water down the bay.

We also drove all the way down 35 to Lavallette. Road was dry, no flooding (except for some rain puddles). I suspect that changes later this afternoon when bay gets its high tide.
