What is “no kings”? Some of the countries on that list have kings, the UK for example, is it anti-monarchist or just against having leaders? Many people in the UK want parliament dissolved and King Charles taking control, also is it just kings? What about queens? (I have sooo many questions!)

It’s National Thank Your Cleaner Day and we’d like to say a BIG THANK YOU to Michelle, who keeps the Towneley facilities and foyer so wonderfully clean for us all. We appreciate Michelle’s hard work every single day, as we know all our visitors do too!

I was told last night that there’s a guy who goes around padiham nicking apples etc from everyone’s gardens and selling them, there’s quite a few apple trees around town if you know where to look
Look at all these pears!
Free from a neighbour, Smooth Conference as well so very versatile.
What should we make with them though? 🍐🤔

In North Yorkshire's Yearsley Woods, a Merveille du Jour on pine needles. In order to see my first Merv of the year, I had to book a holiday. I actually caught three of them.

If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.
Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?
2? Questions
I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?
I must be a bog body too as I can remember a couple of my house numbers from the 90s, thinking about it I don’t like the people that now live in one of them so I’m tempted to put it on here!
Neanderthals were here first, but we outbred them and gave them diseases they had no immunity for, they were at least as smart as us too, we’ll get killed off or absorbed into something else at some point
I’m fairly picky tbh, there are at least a dozen artists that I listen to, who I keep an eye out for, and it’s quite hard for a new artist to make that list, I also seek music that creates a story or landscape in my mind, Hopkins does this, soundscape is a very good term for it
We’ve got hundreds of these, orb web spiders, you can’t go out without destroying their artworks 😢
I find myself walking about like an Egyptian trying to avoid getting cobwebs in my face!

Nice, I like that, spider webs are truly amazing things aren’t they?
Just looked at my childhood home (I know you’re not meant to do this) as I’m writing about Fulwood barracks opposite and discovered that, as well as the garden looking beautiful, the fir tree I planted with my dad in 1984 is still there and about 50ft tall!
