They are still different characrers after all. And if we start to talk about the feelings. When I read about Jiang Cheng I think "Oh, my little evil meow meow" but when I have read Mu Qing's lines I have headache and one little thought "Please SHUT UP you and the different one".

And also they both think a lot about someone else's opinion. The part of the plot about... sacred mounatain when Mu Qing stayed with another group of the gods. And Jiang Cheng listened gossips about Wei Wuxian disgrace the clan.
But they still care of the mc ( Mu Qing's rice and name of Jin Ling)

I think that Mu Qing and Jiang Cheng both have strong responsibility of their families (Mu Qing left Xie Lian because his mother needs him and Jiang Cheng should be a leader of the clan (and that's the one of the reason his and Wei Wuxian discord).

But they are both a main protagonist's little "brother". Both had warm feelings becaming hate to main protagonst. Both was something like an antogonist but not the main. AND BOTH HAVE ADOPTED CHILD.
I think Qi Rong is something like dark maniacally version of Jian Cheng without stong mother figure.
