I remember being terrified that it wasn't going to be any good. I feared that big 90s production sound that she had used on The Red Shoes. As soon as those drums kicked in on KOTM, I knew all was well. I probably play Aerial as often as I do The Dreaming. One of the best albums of the 21st century.

This is a gorgeous record. A collection of home recordings made by a teenager in the early 70s, Beales was a very talented kid. Beautiful folk songs that bring to mind John Martyn at times.
