It's been a long process for me and still going. I was well into my 40s before I was finally able to even admit it to myself. Then it wasn't until 4 years ago that I started coming out.

You and others like you have been a true inspiration to me. I'm still working towards being fully out at 56, but seeing people do it at any age showed me that it was possible.
