I would think they probably were. Most people were church goers back in the day. It’s a lovely city, we’ve had a great time here, the trams are amazing!

Yes 1890’s towers, but still remarkable. Shame you can’t go inside. I’m not a religious person but the fabric, engineering and workmanship of churches fascinates me.

Very nice! We’ve got a Di Longhi bean to cup which husband uses all the time. someone’s just bought him some single estate posh beans for his birthday which he’s looking forward to trying. Happy experimenting!

What a feat of engineering that scaffold is on Zagreb cathedral. Shame it’s closed for visitors but scaffolding is something to see

Annie Hall was a classic. Saw it on release and fell in love with her. She was a delight in that film, great in other stuff too particularly Michael’s wife Kay in the Godfather

Oh yeah I didn’t notice that. I just used Sainsbury’s milk chocolate and did a drizzle of white chocolate on the top to spruce it up a bit!

I just use the Nigella one www.nigella.com/recipes/rock... and sling anything I’ve got into it - raisins, dried cranberries, marshmallows, Crunchies. Nice with nuts but not if it’s needed in a nut free sale. It’s more crunchy using Rich Tea bics than digestives.

I bet she treasured that too! 🥰 my mum and me lived with my nan (her mother in law) while my dad was doing his national service. My mum didn’t get on well with her own mum but her mother in law was the world to her.
