From my pasty perspective and observations. There’s also a lot envy at the ability to find joy and build community and a rich culture. White society has given up culture for whiteness. The white savior complex comes into play when it comes to not listening.

One of the best things I have done is shut my mouth and listen to what POC are saying. There’s some hard truths we need to learn about and work on to be better. It’s better to face and learn from an uncomfortable truth than let a deadly reality continue. Ignorance is not bliss.
