Also if you have HIV but are being treated your viral load will be low to spread the disease.

So when Trump gutted health assistance he halted treatment for many folks in the global south. That means not only are these patients at risk of dying but also it is likely HIV rates will increase.

Great news! The question for scale-up will be cost. The truth is we already have a very, very effective tool to prevent almost all infections - PrEP. Where treatment and prevention is universal and there is healthcare for all new infections are rare. Last year Norway had just 13 new infections.

Last time I called 911 in Portland to report a fight on the street that was occurring they did not send anyway (at least in the 20 min I waited). My lived experience with crime in PDX in recent years tells me I’m on my own I gotta say.

(2/2) she then started screaming and said I was trying to get with these teen hussies. Then she called me a faggot and fat and ugly. She then threatened to hurt me and when the bus driver told her no profanity she just yelled more threats. I got off.

This is not a one-off. We need more safety.

(1/2) Honestly Michael I think it is really bad. Just last night a woman on the bus was yelling at some teens for being loud. They stopped but she kept on harassing them and calling them names and making threats. I said I think these girls heard her and asked everyone to respect everyone.

Yes if referring to the AIDS epidemic (in wealthy nations) I would assume you were talking about the 80s/90s when HIV was a death sentence and not a chronic disease.

The eras are very diff and not recognizing when a crises has ended will create compassion fatigue when the next crisis emerges.
