I'm trying to draw as close to the design of things as I can while still allowing for imperfections, Because the more I draw something the easier it gets to retain details on how to draw it, and so it becomes easier to do over time.

I've got hundreds of sketches I'll probably never post publically.

adding more onto this. with my memory issues, it's generally very hard for me to draw the same thing twice without some form of off-model drawing making it's way in (ex. eyeshape, length of limbs etc). It takes a lot of time to make something I feel I can post without it looking like a whole new oc.

slowly tryna unlearn the perfectionism instilled upon me by people who think art has to be perfect or you can't share it, and if you do share "imperfect" art (ex. sketches, slightly off-model art) then you're a failure.

also yardwork is actually fun, watering the plants, making sure the grass divots aren't dying and are rooting in well, getting rid of the snails that are determined to eat your basil plant etc. You get used to it after a while.
that and i can watch the birds play in the sprinklers lol.

I think maybe offering a palette/getting the commissioner to give one would give whoever buys the comm at least a little choice in the design. like they'll know the colours, but not the actual design beyond perhaps minor details like gender?
