I’m specifically thinking of all those blue-ticked “I’m afraid to go out of my house now” alleged English people. Please. THEY ARE NOT REAL. They are certainly not tweeting about it in good faith.

We can achieve a fairer result if, instead of a multiplier, we apply a "mansion tax" to all the properties in Band H - i.e. a % of property value within the bands.

That has a much reduced impact in those at the bottom of the band and a much higher impact at the top end.

Let's make hope normal again!

We cannot go the way of the UK or the US with this nonsense

Email your TDs, don't engage with the fash, be kinder to immigrants (and reminder that immigrants owe you NOTHING, no good deeds or acts, no politeness/manners. No matter their 'pleasantness' or indifference, immigrants are human beings).

Nigel Farage is filthy fascist according to Heseltine, and he thought Thatcher was good enough to serve in her cabinet.

So Nigel Farage must be Far, far, far Right.

Would be far more accurate to call them people who buy Newspapers polls.

Almost all the UK's polls are biased towards Reform because they pick their 'random' selection from people who buy print/online Media, they are overwhelmingly older and Right Wing.

So Reform's polls and what they will actually get is much lower.

The ones in the hats
were the fattest of cats,
and their honks and their hoots
Would grow in cahoots
In a place they all called Maralago!

Till the orange skinned fellow
Or it could have been yellow
Would bend at the knees
And release his foul breeze
In a curse he had cursed at Chicago

BAFTA winner from Basildon here. Couldn't have done it without TIE/YPT provision in schools, without full (non-loaned) grant for university, without some basic state provision without hassle when I was finding my feet...all of which has gone. Invest in creativity.

Pretty much every Culture Secretary we've had since the post was created has reinforced my impression that our frontline politicians simply do not know or care about culture.
Hi Lisa Nandy! I’m a BAFTA winner from a small town. Instead of asinine questions like this, why not tell us how we can continue to make a living in the eviscerated creative sector over which you notionally preside?

Arguably the best photo I’ve ever taken of an ominous stranger on horseback approaching lazy cattle on a chalk hilltop beneath an irascible sky.

‘A Georgian space in Perpendicular form, long, uniform, well-lit – it might be a schoolroom.’ This is how Sir Nikolaus Pevsner, the famous architectural historian, described St Mary’s, Long Crichel in Dorset.

Sorry... is this a thing? Having one party to a ceasefire turn it off and on like a f*cking light switch?
Israel's military said Wednesday that the ceasefire was back on in Gaza after it carried out heavy airstrikes overnight across the Palestinian territory that killed 104 people, including 66 women and children, according to local health officials.

I have been charged in a federal indictment sought by the Department of Justice.

This political prosecution is an attack on all of our First Amendment rights. I’m not backing down, and we’re going to win.

From an article about the man in the SS uniform arrested for attacking the woman in Georgia. Just wild that we've accepted that there's a huge social media platform where an account called "@GasChambers" is allowed to openly do Nazi fundraising and that's fine, in fact all the reporters post there.

The Doctors are striking again because they refuse to go back to pay freezes, they refuse to let 80,000 Doctors who want to work be unemployed while Wes Streeting hires unskilled PA's

If you supported them when the Tories were in power, but not now

Why?
