My mother left Germany in 1936. Late in her life she told me the nightmares she had of the thud of jackboots on her porch…hiding in the basement while her father managed to stall or bribe the SS. I can only imagine her reaction to this,in America, her adopted country, in Illinois, her adopted state.

I usually set it on something close to what the CT of the light is like, just to get the proofs to look close…. Except if I’m intentionally messing with CT (WB on 3200, and shoot with flash to make things look extra blue.)
