Also, a woman was handcuffed at a subway station in NYC (Franklin Ave) when she intervened asking why a delivery man was asked to show work permit by undercover agents. There is a video of that.

A doctor has been serving one of Baltimore’s poorest neighborhoods for decades — and if his patients can’t pay, that’s OK with him.

So when he was diagnosed with cancer, his community rallied to raise $100,000 for his treatments.

For decades, a doctor refused to charge patients who couldn't pay. When he couldn't pay, his patients came to his aid.

When Dr. Michael Zollicoffer was diagnosed with two types of cancer, his patients started a crowdfunding campaign that raised more than $100,000.

I fasted this week which included not being on social media. I definitely slipped sometimes but I realized that I felt much better not being on the internet all the time. I might limit my scrolling to a few times a day instead of so many breaks throughout the day.

There's also the club / library model. @beyondvideo.bsky.social in Baltimore is a video library run by volunteers with a video store vibe, it's fantastic and anyone interested in physical media should consider opening a similar place in their own city.
