Discotek stuff is more expensive in my experience to be honest but their stuff is fantastic quality. I think it's an economy of scale thing too: Shout! Factory is a HUGE company now so they can afford to sell cheaper stuff through their sub labels (although the Belle UHD was $ I guess lol)

Believe it or not, the Blu-ray is actually better than the 4k! The 4k is DNR'd to death so you'd actually WANT to get a standard Blu-ray regardless of which you picked up! ❤️ As to this specific release it's the new dub + Steelbook + webstore exclusive I imagine

4/5. Maybe not as funny as when I was a kid, but still plenty funny! Great cast, well shot & directed, plenty of classic Brooks writing. Most of the jokes still work damn well & have perfect timing as you'd expect. If you haven't seen this one somehow, check it out!

Say what you will about the AV presentation of some of these Vestron releases, this one looks about as good as it possibly could and sounds fine. I've always appreciated how many special features these releases get too and this is no exception! A HUGE upgrade over the DVD but I'd kill for a 4k 🕵🏻

4/5. Excellent Lovecraft adaptation & a nice creepy little movie in its own right. Well shot & directed, plenty of suspense, some nudity & some good gore too. The scene set in what might be the nastiest hotel on earth is VERY tense & one of my all-time favorites!! Definitely recommended.
