B. Gillespie had to borrow Peter Hook's bass for his first ever gig with The Wake, supporting New Order (The Wake's bassist having vanished at short notice). Being a massive fan, he approached Hooky in terror and awe, and Hooky laughed in his face and said "Fook off, yeah alright" and lent it to him
