srsly with the concetration of studios we have in a literal 2 block radius it's pretty sad there isnt anything bigger!

I can rant about this in private longer but it's also very... 'pat each others back and not know of anything outside our bubble'. ANYWAYS I HAVE THOUGHTS

I went to MAGFest once! It was nice but I kinda want a more indie dev focused thing! Or at least a mixture of sort. I feel like its either high level biz bro dev OR fun festivals

sigh i know im privileged enough to be in NA and theres accessible smaller local events, hell even getting europe isnt the most difficult thing

But it does suck. Especially with Montréal being such a game hub and all we have to show for it is MIGS. Where do we celebrate indies and not the next fad?

Sigh MIGS has always been to high level biz dev for me (i actually love talking money/marketing but am never taken seriously since im this solo person in audio)

GDC has gone to shit and seems to be a mockery of itself

exactly the feeling I had when I attended MIGS almost 3 years ago now. I just left in complete awe. Also public transportation is free in downtown melbourne!!

It's my 6 year anniversary in the industry!🥳

I had abruptly quit my Masters in composition for screen. It was a sudden decision. I was terrified, rushing to get some sorta portfolio together and moved to a new a city. I didn't even mean to get into freelancing!

But heh, im staying for a while!
