X-men '97 reignited a love for x-men that I lost somewhere in the 2010s with avengers vs X-men, and marvel running X-men into the ground, I recently read HoX/PoX and have been doing the full claremont run and krakoa in order, this is gonna be my long running x-thread #x-men #comicsky #comics #krakoa

such a gorgeous book, the cast really grew on me over time! it surprised me a lot in that I knew it was about tabletop games, and I play tabletop games with some friends most weeks, but its also got so much going on in so many other aspects, I'll definitely be reading Die: Loaded in a month or so!

Finished Die by Kieron Gillen and Stephanie Hans, started it like "its 20 issues I'll finish this quick" then its so thematically dense I gotta rest after 2-3 issues, I really enjoyed it, it was a really slow burn for me, was worried it wasn't going to stick a landing near the end but it really did!

I survived Cameron/Osbourne when I was bed ridden and agoraphobic, every 3 years waiting for my next PIP assessment thinking this will be the one I will wrongfully denied it, you cannot threaten me with Reform, the gun to my head will not work, you are just as bad, I will outlive you all.

This is the kind of performative cruelty that only we disabled people will remember come a general election, the savings will be minimal and may end up actually costing more as you make disabled people who use motability to work's jobs more precarious, its a manufactured right wing issue

Scrapping Motability is going to reduce both the number of Disabled People in work and reduce the number of cars sold.

The result is this policy will almost certainly COST more than it will save.

but the current starmer/mcsweeney labour have a reverse midas touch that should be studied, they cannot get anything right, it looks like they actively are trying to be on the wrong side of every issue.

My view is Starmer is basically running a Cameron/Osbourne style government and it will not cut it, people do not want more decline, they're going too slow and radical change and improving living standards is the only way to stop Reform, I fear they've accepted their 1 term and Reform is inevitable

we didn't get Corbyn as pm because we have a profoundly unrepresentative system and a media united against any sort of leftward policy regardless of its factual basis, Starmer will herald in farage unless replaced because like centrism he represents nobody but the media and people who are content

a centrist will see labour and starmer polling at -1000 and go "ah but they're so sensible! and the only realistic option" they STILL haven't realised nobody wants centrist neo-liberalism and that is across the political spectrum, they aren't getting boring politics back, its socialism or barbarism
