Thank you! 😃
This next barrel, I didn't picture last week, unfortunately. This one was working on stage three of miscellaneous rocks that I've collected. It will be running them in stage four this week.

Trying something new this week. My stage 1 barrel was tasked with stage 2. And as a birthday gift the stones will get ultrasonic cleanings in the latter stages. Continuing from last week there are the mossy agates and the river collections.

Take care my friend. Unplug a bit lean into those hobbies, take some time back from the politics noise. One more day to get through..
This batch of rocks was collected from Eastern Washington over the summer. I don't know what all of these stones are. Many of them seem to have a lot of quartz. Others seem to be ryolite or andestite. But all of them are very nice. Hopefully they'll polish well.

Time for Rock Saturday starting with stage one. I put in too many large stones last week, so there aren't very many rocks to show. Still processing the skokomish river rocks, moss agate, rock and mineral society donations, and an Eastern Washington straggler.

#Caturday Misty enjoying her paper nest over one of the heating vents this morning. She has had enough of my bs already.
Here's week two of the softer stones. They don't look very different, but they feel very different. They now feel smooth, almost a little slimy and kind of velvety, it's hard to describe. They've finished up with their pre-polish. Now they will be going in for 8,000 grit polish.

Wow! That one is amazing.
I Despise coal rollers.
Saturday again! Take a short break to recharge with pretty rocks. Stage one this week has some of the green Moss agate more of the river run material and one or two pieces that were donated to the local Rock and Mineral Club.

Here's the second barrel of the day. It was running stage 3 on softer stones. If I remember correctly, there's aventurine, amazonite, and some common opal. The common opal is being re-run through the system to have more soft bulk. The third barrel is going into week 2 of polish.

It's Saturday, Rock Clean Out Day. Here's another batch at stage one. This run has some more of the river pound rock as well as green moss agate from the rock shed.

Found some fun stones out and about today. #Rockhounding
And finally, the last barrel, tumbling stage four. All these stones will be going into the fifth 8,000 grit polish. I am concerned because they are not showing the normal luster even while submerged. Hopefully 2 weeks in high polish will work.

Now for the second barrel, this is running stage 2 again and it has a couple of interesting rocks, some from Eastern Washington, a couple of others from various places, including that wonderful poppy Jasper from the river.

Another week, another barrel clean out. This week continues a set of rocks from the river and a few collected from around the area. I'll be adding a few more river run rocks plus a few green mossy agates purchased from the rock shed.

#caturday Misty enjoying the autumn sun.
This is the final barrel for this week. These are all at stage 3. It's a mess of lots of different stuff. I keep everything after stage 3 submerged as much as possible until complete with final polish.
Here is the clean out from my Stage 2 barrel. It contains some interesting items, a few chips of old stock biggs jasper, a blue white jasper, local sandstone, and more material from Eastern Washington. Also, a small piece of local poppy jasper.
Here is the set of rocks that I hope to get into stage one this week. Most are from the River Excursion from a few weeks ago. Some are from Eastern Washington.
Clean out report for this week. Here is the stage 1 barrel's rocks. It has been a few weeks so I'll put up some more images in comments. But this batch is a mix of stones from central Wa, North West OR, and North West Wa.

Here is some more of the brighter greens. Epidote and quartz, this stuff tumbles up excellently.
