1/5. Jimmy Kimmel did NOT criticize Charlie Kirk. Kimmel made fun of Trump, and Kirk’s “matryrdom” offered Trump the pretext for pulling him off the air. Trump did NOT have to personally fire Kimmel because he has leveraged the power of an imperial presidency to flatter his ego.

I have not seen these comments, so it may be they are truly in poor taste. But I suspect they are tame compared to Kirk’s own words.

Charlie Kirk: hater, not a debater.

The Far Right has crowned him a martyr of free speech, but so much of what Kirk said was vicious slander and outright lies. Conservatives scream “fire” in crowded buildings and want you to dignify it as deep thought.
