Bc we ARE making the content for ourselves but it feels /bad/ when people don’t engage or show interest. You can care about both at the same time

in her slight defense some of it was due to growing up poor and learning a decent chunk of her cooking skills from my scraped-by-during-the-depression single mother great-grandma

but i also had to personally witness jello salads so i don't think even god would judge me for being a little upset

now that i'm older and have been able to eat more of other folks' cooking i've realized quite a few of the foods i'd normally pass on are actually really good and the problem was always that my grandma swore by 1960s cookbooks written by the Whitest And Most Seasoning-Adverse Person On Earth
