Furthermore, there is also the matter of volume--which is worth consideration. In order to make a protein powder, one would have to figure the volume of pea plants processed per unit food.

That figure would then need to be compared to the secondary uptake of heavy metal by "grazing" animals.

Depends on which plants they are eating and whether their grazing areas have high concentrations of heavy metals.

Once grazing animals consume the plants, any heavy metals accumulate in the liver, kidneys, bones, and brain.

Pea plants absorb lead and other heavy metals from the soil as they grow, which end up in pea protein powder.

There are other consumable plants that make great phytoremediators and uptake heavy metals.
