I’m so old I remember the Seahawks once had a defense so dominant, TV executives used it as an excuse for not giving the team home prime-time televised games because there were so many blowout wins.

This felt, momentarily, like a return to that except for LBs making splash plays instead of CBs.

Mine is he wasn’t elected captain as QB1 and the best player on the squad because he big-timed his teammates during the spring.

He’s a very good QB whose only weakness is INTs under pressure. Think Jameis

Couple weeks ago, the sideline reporter said he wasn’t acting like his true self with teammates.

That’s my take, fwiw.

Zevi’s wasn’t elected captain and that’s almost impossible if you’re QB1 and the best player on the squad.

Think he big-timed his teammates and coaches this spring

Funny part is the TV crew for each game has a different explanation for Zevi or starting the season.

The explanations are also in conflict with one another.

Today’s explanation was that the coaches didn’t understand the leadership and confidence Zevi inspires in his teammates.

It’s not all bad. It’s still useful in a lot of ways.

People just treat it like, and want it to be, the one, true measure.

It’s not any better or worse than any other single measure including DVOA, win-loss record, Pro-Bowl appearance, All-Pro or EPA.
