If you cant get Leipold or Leonhard(who also is somewhat of a question) then the rest are all just about preferences because they all have questions or concerns about them
mvp21.bsky.social
I just think after the Fickell experiment and his lack of Wisconsin ties that Wisconsin likely goes with someone who has a connection to the state. Similar to how after Andersen left they hired Chryst
mvp21.bsky.social
I actually have been impressed with what Sean Lewis is doing at San Diego St. But he's in a similar boat as Eck. It kinda depends if you wanna go for a more boom/bust young guy or a safer/lower ceiling option
mvp21.bsky.social
I mean the only reason Eck is even on the radar is because he got off to a fast start at New Mexico. That what worries me about him
mvp21.bsky.social
Yea I think Leipold or Leonhard would be the obvious hires if either was willing to take the job. Doeren atleast consistently gets to bowl games
mvp21.bsky.social
Eck makes me nervous because of his lack of a track record but it would atleast be an interesting shot to take. I gotta see how the rest of his season plays out though
mvp21.bsky.social
Him & Sean Lewis are the two boom or bust candidates on that list because they don't have extensive track records. Wilcox, Doeren, & Aranda would be more safe hires with likely a lower ceiling
mvp21.bsky.social
Not sure he's the route I'd want to go. Failed NFL coaches rarely work in college football. I think there is a pretty long list of coaches with Wisconsin ties who could atleast get this team back to being consistently bowl eligible and I'd look at those guys first
mvp21.bsky.social
Lol on an interim basis for full time?
mvp21.bsky.social
Nope. They will be severe underdogs the rest of the way in every game. An interim coach isnt changing that. Let Fickell wear these and then hire someone to get back to your roots in the offseason imo
mvp21.bsky.social
Wisconsin has several choices of solid coaches to get back to their roots. Guys like Leonhard, Leipold, Aranda, Eck, Doeren, Wilcox or Sean Lewis. Maybe Leonhard or Leipold doesn't want this job but there are others that we can get to atleast bring an air of respectability back to the program

At this point, the Badgers next 4 games are

#1 Ohio St
@ #8 Oregon
5-1 Washington
@ #3 Indiana

Just let Fickell wear these losses imo. An interim coach isnt turning this season around. But as soon as this season ends he needs to be gone

All 4 NFC North teams are above .500 6 weeks into the season
mvp21.bsky.social
Are we sure the Commanders are good?
mvp21.bsky.social
Suarez was pretty bad with Seattle after the trade. A mistake like that kills the Brewers, it's nothing for the Dodgers. Mark A will never be able to spend anywhere close to the level of the Dodgers.
mvp21.bsky.social
Yep. Look at how they were built. Numerous all stars and nearly all of them were bought. It would be glorious to beat them but I'm not expecting it
mvp21.bsky.social
I'm predispositioned to always think the big market team is going to win in MLB. So I'm not nearly that upset tonight
mvp21.bsky.social
Disappointing loss. Blake Snell is a 2x Cy Young winner who was absolutely on one tonight so credit to him. The pitching staff did a good job to limit the Dodgers all star lineup to 2 runs. Go get em tomorrow

Brewers Game 1 Lineup
mvp21.bsky.social
Stackhouse didnt play much. I think it's telling. Not sure he's a rosterable player going forward
mvp21.bsky.social
Yea he played really well yesterday

Brewers NLCS roster. Only change is Tobias Myers over Nick Mears
