I do not think it is gonna get better if MLB adds teams. There already is a lack of talent to fill all the teams in baseball. And it has been consolidated in the hands of a few. They need to do something to equalize spending at the very least. But that merely spreads out limited talent there is.

No. Instead of replacing my CD and DVD players, I went to all streaming.

I used it heavily until COVID hit.

This is happening in Illinois, too. And it becomes even more alarming when the person in ICE custody being kept from care is in fact a U.S. citizen. No one should be denied care or kept from care. But they are hellbent on disappearing people at any cost.

Yes. I would pick out a book and hit the max checkout limit on albums. They had a massive vinyl collection...

In Illinois, we now have an inter-library loan system with everything catalogued from all libraries and available to anyone in the region. I get a lot of CDs this way now.

Mike Johnson has now had the House adjourned for 72 of the last 84 days.

Epstein Shutdown.

True. I used to sample a lot of music and comedy albums from the local library. I spent almost all my time at the library browsing the vinyl collection.

Letterman was my late-night guy. He took a lot from Carson but was insane lol

In his later years, he interviewed political folks way better than anyone does today.

I am quite happy whenever an episode of his Netflix show drops, which is far too infrequent for me.

Monty Python on the bus for band trips via a portable cassette deck, loud enough to hear, not loud enough to get into trouble.

Bob and Doug had a record lol this all led me to Cheech & Chong and Monty Python. Oh, my poor little brain. Warp speed ahead.

They wanted to keep showing Carson reruns in the time slot. Carson wanted that to stop. Per the movie, it was a contract negotiation point.

I think a bunch of SCTV stuff is on YouTube.

John Candy, Eugene Levy, Catherine O'Hara, Dave Thomas, Harold Ramis. The Bob and Doug McKenzie thing was huge.

I did like that show quite a lot.

One more thing: the soundtrack by Jon Batiste is as much a character as any of the actors. He makes an appearance as Billy Preston, too.

It has become extremely promotional and transactional/promotional. And yes, that is how it survived but this factor has been a blessing and a curse to the show.

...Michaels, played deftly by Gabriel LaBelle. Saturday Night is undoubtedly designed to extend the myth, and it succeeds brilliantly in paying homage to the improbable rise of a show the network tried to cancel right up to the moment it first went live on the air.

The thing that makes Saturday Night work is the...

...feels maybe a tad too corporate for its own good. Such is the world in which we live.

For what it is worth, Jason Reitman did his part to celebrate fifty years of Saturday Night Live with his raucous film Saturday Night. Almost all of the movie focuses, nearly in real...
