U can know the work is just beginning but also be awestruck that this diabolical phase of genocide is actually maybe over. I can’t believe it’s finally happened. I can’t cry anymore after 2 yrs of this horror, but the lump in my throat is catching my breath for the first time in a long time.

This is such a moment of mixed joy and anxiety for the people of Palestine, but, one clear piece of good news: the genocidal, death-trap, known as the Gaza "Humanitarian" Foundation, is being dismantled and removed from the Gaza Strip, according to @aljazeera.com. Alhamdulliah

This isnt an end to genocide. This isnt “peace.” This is the most hegemonic, coercive project stripping Palestinians of their most basic rts, inc their right to self-determination. Still, Palestinians need a reprieve. This must & should end. Still, this ending is coerced and unlawful under intl law

Watching countries - & outlets like Al Jazeera English - fawn over Trump's "peace deal," which is little more than genocidal coercion, stripping Palestinians of their rt to self-determination is utterly disgusting. Palestinians had no choice. "Death or _" is not a defensible negotiating tactic.

Palestinian journalist Anas al-Sharif announcing the last ceasefire in January 2025. He was an icon and a hero. Israel assassinated him in August - one of over 300 Palestinian journalists killed by Israel in the last 2 years. May god bless his soul. May he be announcing this ceasefire in heaven.

If this ceasefire proceeds according to the 20-pt Trump/Netanyahu plan, it will be a new British Mandate - with war criminal Tony Blair at the helm - with intl actors, esp Israel, controlling everything that happens in Gaza. This is not a peace deal. It is subjugation coerced through genocide.
