A neat genius thing about Breach is that it finds a way to combine chess turns (my preference) with FFT’s more complex timing strategy. Masterpiece

This time around fun to notice how much influence Into The Breach took from this game, esp party and map sizes and how that emphasizes clever unit combos

Forgot how much grinding and min maxing matsuno magic was in FFT. Amazing to see a battle go from one extreme to another just by tweaking one stat or outfit. Killing bad rich people really does take persistence and effort! Also Rend Weapon is OP

This battle also saw archers pick up the arrows fired at them and shoot them back; it was a very imm sim kinda battle

(The wind was on the Yorkist side so their archers were OP)

One day would love to try make game that compresses all the matsuno goodness into something that respects your time more- ITB kinda nailed this but lacks the verticality and unit facing stuff I like in the classics so there is a gap! (Also operatic epic story)
