Thank you! I’m still working out the story, but overall it’s about a father who, out of love for his family, makes a deal to become a psychopomp. Trading his own life for an eternal haven in Afterworld for his family. But does this haven strip his family of their freedom to enjoy life as we know it?

Finished up a few more panels for Afterworld. Our furry friends are always concerned when we get hurt, but they can sometimes over-console.
Quick question, is it cheating to just duplicate a panel and change something small rather than draw the same thing twice?

A comic isn’t a comic without a cover. Today I worked on a handful of thumbnails just to rough in the idea. Trying to include the main 3 characters’ faces, Captain’s plane and the expanse of the farm all in one shot was challenging. Any favorites?

I really dig this color palette!

Cranking away at the comic. Here’s a “final” version of this panel where Matty is running terrified and Breezy thinks they’re playing get the stick. Sometimes you have to use a little trickery to get your pet to do what you want them to do so they don’t get murdered in the woods.

Good call. I’d probably just end up outlining everything in white 😂 keep up the great work 👍

These are awesome. I love graphic shapes like this but as I’m shading I’m so averse to covering details. It’s hard to allow elements to fall into one block of value without showing the individual forms. How do you get around that? Does this technique only work with hard light conditions? Great job.
