I think the end goal of a lot of modern conservatism is not to solve problems, but simply to foster widespread grievance. They’ve shown that they CAN foster grievance without making everything worse for everybody, but it’s a lot easier if they DO make everything worse for everybody.

Big turnout or small turnout, violent or peaceful, the No Kings protests will definitely be news this time around.

Given that, one thing we can be certain of is that the NYT and WaPo will both-sides-report it into something disconnected from reality.
