Also Bandai Namco pledged in their legal case that they would ensure that atgames receives literally zero dollars from their royalty share investment. So I’m fairly certain no royalties were exchanged here.

If royalties were needed to be exchanged, these (appreciated lol) oversights would’ve never been there to begin with I feel. Museum + was updated over the course of a year with small cosmetic additions; there were multiple opportunities to change this, yet it remained.

It genuinely just seems like Bandai Namco is taking an all or nothing approach to Ms.Pac-Man. I will keep my disdain for both bamco and atgames’s handling of this situation to myself haha.

Even then, bouncing fruit have appeared in future pac-man games (World’s largest pac-man), and Ms. pac-man “accidentally lol” appeared in both museum + and quickspot on Nintendo switch in 2022. Royalties were never exchanged for these appearances, and no issues ever arrived from her use.

This is from one of the former heads from Namco Network’s development division. The use of the character and doesn’t appear to require any royalties to be exchanged, they appear to have been pertained to aspects like game code (I.e. “hello nakamura”) and elements like the bouncing fruit.
