โ™คโ™ค I adore her so much; I hope I'm doing her a service. (For a time she was one of my patrons and I worry that I am doing her a disservice)

She is an oddly comforting character for me which is surprising since I RARELY write women.
โ™คโ™ค nah, just putting it out there. I have some nsfw accounts blocked on here but I still want to be firm about it. especially on Isis here.

*gestures to her whole mourning wife / pining wife thing*
"I am glad that you have him, even now; I don't think I have met him."

An amused glimmer flickered through her expression as she let her shoulders relax.

"The pleasure is mine, truly."
Layla nods sympathetically.

โ€œI lost my husband,โ€ she comments. โ€œBut I was blessed to be able to get him back.โ€

Odd to think she is grateful to Khonshu for something, but she is grateful for that.

โ€œIt is an honor to meet you, Lady Isis. I admire you immensely.โ€
"Living the death of my husband is something I do not wish upon anyone. Having to sew his body and bring his ka back to him was even worse.

You may know me as Lady Isis."

โ€œI have had some experience with the gods. With all do respect, a story born of truth does not hold a candle to knowing them personally. I know the stories. Now, I would like to know you. I am Layla El-Faouly.โ€
She is very old and has suffered many trials over the years.

"Surely you have heard the stories. Most myths are born out of truth."
"He is a stubborn man with Osiris' temper.

You know that Grandfather wouldn't allow that. I had to gather all thirteen pieces of my husband and breathed life into him just for him to be sent into the duat.

I shouldn't bother you with old troubles... I hear you're influencing the humans again."
โ€œA son to be proud of,โ€ he echoes back. โ€œAnd that is something.โ€

His own family situation is complicated. Loneliness he understands.

โ€œI highly doubt you would be barred from seeing your husband if you asked.โ€
"I have grieved for far too long, and yet I have yet to find no one like him.

I dont think I ever will. Horus, my son is grown, and I am alone for the first time.

It's terrifying."

Power? No . . . of course not. She would never ask for that.

Power tends to lead to trouble in her mind. Or too much does anyway.

โ€œI simply wish to learn about you. I . . . books and field work only tell me so much.โ€

โ€œDo it? We do it because we must.โ€

He has had pain and loss, to be sure.

โ€œYour pain was acute, Lady. You are permitted to grieve.โ€
"I miss him. Every day."

She admits, wrapping her dress closer to her body, wings wrapping protectively around.

"I don't know how you do it."
It depends on what she wants. She will not grant her power, if that is what she is after.

She is not her brother Set.

Perhaps, she might have an audience with the goddess one day.

Khonshu, God of Jokes.

He chuckles.

โ€œLaugh so we do not cry, hmm?โ€
She is- trying not to smile.... damn it- she is. She can feel a smile cracking at the corner of her lips.

"Damn it Khonshu."

He is not going to comment on the taking of spouses.

โ€œThankfully you were able to . . . patch things up.โ€

Too soon?
He took ๐˜”๐˜บ ๐˜๐˜œ๐˜š๐˜‰๐˜ˆ๐˜•๐˜‹ from me.

Perhaps, they should form a line.
