So many new people came from somewhere. Time to introduce myself again!

Hi! I'm Morrah, I like to paint pictures. Mostly my ocs and soulsborne fanart. I like all the dark, gothic, macabre, haunted things. I'm currently trying to climb out of severe burnout and find my artistic voice.

Same. I even remember the first cellphone numbers of some of my friends and relatives, which they stopped using many years ago. But I really struggled to recall my new number for a few months. Even though I have a concerningly good memory.

And also, many years ago, I read somewhere that because of the convenience of our smartphones and easy access to any information, we have simply stopped making an effort to remember anything. I feel like it’s true but I don’t know for sure.

Yes but the numbers were much shorter (in my area at least) and we weren’t constantly bombarded with the endless stream of all sorts of information.

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?

I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

I think I don’t like it. I loved it more when it had more texture and dry brushstrokes. But back then I used to paint on an ipad in artstudio pro. This look is really hard to achieve in photoshop for me. 😤

I think my art changed again. Recently, as part of my campaign for finding a workflow that would work for me I decided to limit myself to two brushes because I'm tired of searching for brushes all the time and just want to focus on the process.

I don't know if I like how it looks but it feels good.
