the game looks mighty fine. it's not gorgeous or anything but it certainly isn't an eye sore like previous Pokemon Switch games. it looks much sharper, the models for both people and Pokemon are amazing, the textures in general are just so much nicer and higher resolution, on top of running smooth

people who aren't playing the game saying it looks so ugly because they can't understand that the image quality you get on a livestream is far from what you'd actually see in a monitor in front of you, and even more so in 4K

you're watching a 1080p livestream where the video is heavily compressed
