the creative effects of autumn have hit me at full force this week- today i have aimlessly bounced between three different projects, scrapped and restarted another, and in the last week have drawn, painted, printed, sewn, knit, and crocheted 😵‍💫 so much to do so little getting actually done

i work for a circus school and got put on our toddler class for the next few weeks - it’s not only so fun but also means im done by 11 so then have a FULL DAY AHEAD! thrilling stuff! also new idlm 🎉 HUZZAH!

did a new A4 lino print this week to prep for markets and spent the entire time thinking ‘WHY HAVE I DONE THIS TO MYSELF!!!!!’ so i reprinted my lovely little hares and harts to cheer myself up and it mildly restored my resolve thsnk goodness! pls enjoy this high contrast goodness

i’m doing a short art course and it’s given me a new lease for life - here’s some exploratory bits i’ve been working on and hopefully i will have four big shiny illustrations at some point in the near future

i found a dupe of my favourite perfume from noted aromas (lots of others out there) - they might have it and they do 5ml testers so you can see if it holds up. i’m an absolute scent fiend and go heavy on sprays so finding a similar scent for a third of the price was. very good

been up to some woodburning art recently ✨

a wood burnt log slice that has a small nub where a branch would come out of the bark. it depicts a mother and baby humpback whale, with the baby coming down along the nub towards the mother’s head.

the tops of four square boxes each with various celtic motifs wood burnt on them. the top left is three hares in a triangle, ears touching as they run with a triskele between them. the top right and bottom left are two celtic knots. the bottom right is a sun with closed eyes and pouty lips above two swallows flying with a small halo around their heads.

a wooden heart with two barn owls burnt into it, they are cleaning each others’ beaks. they have been painted lightly to be a gentle brown and the white of their feathers has been painted on in small lines.

happiest of birthdays! here’s a little cheeseboard of animals! a very happy seal who let me photograph them for half an hour, two rooks doing some sweet beak cleaning for each other, two ethereal goats at my old work, and a valais blacknose sheep (my favourite breed) (highly rec looking them up)
