Midna the corgi eyeballs Morgan’s Starbucks drink with eagerness. Midna sticks out her tongue in a poor attempt to steal so of Morgan’s drink. Unfortunately, there is a lid.

I'M GOING TO BE AT TWITCHCON!

I know I say this all the time lol, but I truly mean it, you'll more likely see me before I see or recognize you, so please come up and say hi!

I have two official panels, one of which includes me running a D&D game! So please come out and have fun!
A Twitch Con 10th anniversary frame with a shiny star on the bottom left corner with the text saying Oct 17-19th San Diego, CA. Inside the frame is a photo of me looking off camera. A social image of a Dragon standing in the middle of a red lit stadium with the logo of Dragon Games on the top right. Text on the top left reads: A D&D PvP Showdown. On the bottom left are images of the players Thormungandr, 3llebelle, Ashlinaa, and Mike The Quad beside an image of me as the Dungeon Master. A logo of the TwitchCon 10th anniversary is on the bottom right with text underneath that reads Friday October 17th 11:30am - 12:30pm Give PLZ stage. Headshots of panel members mentioned in tweet (Ashlinaa, 3llebelle, MikeTheQuad, Thormungandr, Stevesaylor) Moderator - sweetxsage

Level Up; Accessible Streaming for Everyone

on twitter you can say "disabled people should be allowed to enjoy video games" and someone will say "well some guy with no hands or eyes beat dark souls once so its entirely your fault"

The accessibility grind never stops!! 😆💪

Electronic Arts detailed the accessibility features of the recently released Battlefield 6 on their accessibility portal.

It features lots of customization of the UI, with several settings including handy previews in different lighting situations.

I got new glasses! They’re like my old ones, but slightly smaller and more silver. Changing it up, calm DOWN WHEW 🤣😮‍💨

In fact, we can often learn from disabled folks by understanding how they are engaging with a product. It’s one of the best ways to improve the design and make it more better for everyone.

Maybe I am biased; I’m just surprised folks aren’t mentioning accessibility when this meme comes up. /rant 😆😄♥️

Like, maybe it’s not an intuition issue. Maybe users literally can’t operate the handle. Maybe there is a limb difference or muscle weakness — every person has different capabilities and disabilities. And trust me… disabled folks will get clever, using any means necessary 🦾✨

🧵TL;DR Accessible Design = Good Design

I keep seeing this image all over LinkedIn and UI/UX forums, debating “stupid users” vs. intuitive design… etc. etc.

But what about accessibility?
Top is labeled “Dev: creates simple and intuitive UI” showing a teapots.

Bottom is labeled “User:” showing a man blowing into the top of the tea pot so tea flows into the cup, rather than pouring it with his hands.

TIL How I read books as an ADHD girliepop who is deaf is what others call “immersive reading” 🤔

“Immersive reading is a multi-sensory approach to reading that combines audible and visual elements to enhance comprehension and enjoyment. It often involves narration and highlighting text.”

Slipped out of the house last night to catch Rachel Kolb at Ms. Dalloway's Books in Berkeley, along with @rzemach.bsky.social, my son's 2nd-grade teacher, and apparently all the Deaf bookworms in the Bay Area. Quite a scene.

Hi all! My dear friend, Rachel Kolb, just launched her book today. This is a deaf writer’s exploration of language, communication, and what it means to be articulate—and her journey to reclaim her voice. Can’t recommend it enough!! Link is below 🤟🏼♥️
