been making a rewrite AU of Act 3 of Arcane with @moldypaw.bsky.social where Viktor becomes the Machine Herald after being severed from the Arcane due to Jayce shooting him

two designs of rewrite!Viktor are present.
"bare bones" Viktor looks strikingly similar to how he once did leading the healing cult. his body clearly has leftover Hexcore augmentation which he now calls "the Core" due to his arthritis and neuropathy developing in his hands and feet respectively (caused by being severed from the Arcane), warranting mechanical gloves and boots to keep them functioning. his left eye sclera is black due to experimentation by himself and Singed in making a robotic eye.
"Machine Herald" Viktor is inspired by older concept art for the canon design of the Machine Herald in Arcane, more mech than eldritch. Vik's battle mask is almost feline-looking, but also serene, due to Viktor's obsession with being a messianic/bodhisattva type figure. speaking of which, his cape is leftover from his robes at the commune. he wears a stronger pair of boots due his neuropathy needing accommodation in a fast-paced battle. Vik also has a mechanical third arm which can be plugged into his back and the same staff from the commune.
in the top right corner is a doodle of a self-insert oc named Gilly floating in the void, distraught that Viktor is alive and not engaging in an ego-death with them

Heimerdinger questions Viktor's continued practice in meditation, asking if he found a better method for clearing one's mind of emotions and passions while teasing him for his obsession with being a spiritual figure. Viktor sighs and says "...it gets the job done, ig" admitting that meditation is the only sufficient method of clearing his mind
