our local convenience store kitten is turning into the friendliest little void. we took him to the vet to get checked out, he's healthy and growing. I fed the status damn near every time I go past now 🖤

which the movie would lose a lot of its power. the design of the creatures and sets is absolutely spot on. costumes too, those diving suits are pretty badass. the script is also extremely tight, wasting no time and keeping things moving at a good clip. might have to make this a regular rewatch.

that was every bit as good on a second viewing. it's part cosmic horror, part creature feature, and part sci-fi thriller. there's a really good cast (tjm excepted) holding things together, but equally important are the vfx crew who constructed such an epic, beautiful, aquatic world without 1/x

it's real easy to see where all those millions went. whether you make something this huge practically or with cgi it's gonna cost a bomb.

time for another helping of cosmic horror for #vundahalloweenathon, my second run at this one. #nowwatching underwater (2020), a movie which i absolutely loved when i first saw it last year. and you can't say no to a double-header of kristen stewart and vincent cassel 😍

keep the viewer guessing the whole time. i'd like to try this as part of a triple bill with beyond the black rainbow and mandy. i think that might kill my brain though. anyway, if you haven't seen this you need to sort it out immediately. so, so good on pretty much every level.

and sounds for an indie flick. it wears its influences on its sleeves as far as visuals go, but it still manages to carve out its own distinctive style with the use of colour, the environments, and the creature fx. the writing is really tight too, keeping things moving at a perfect pace while 2/x

that was a splendid rewatch, one that's put a little fire in the belly and made me want to go down more cosmic horror rabbit holes. sadly not got much free time today due to gym and pathfinder, but maybe once spooktober is over. i love how amazing this looks 1/x
