Someone told you your queerness is a sin?
Here's my professional and personal opinion: that's not just wrong, it's harmful. Your worth is not up for debate. As a queer Latine therapist, I believe your identity is a celebration waiting to happen.
As a therapist, I help people navigate the personal impact of these systems, but we also have a responsibility to advocate for change. Your well-being is tied to the well-being of our entire community.
Wondering what anti-oppression work looks like? It starts with recognizing that systemic issues like rac!sm, homophobia, and transphobia are direct violations of human rights.
Therapy is for everyone. It's not about being "crazy," it's about being human. As a queer Latine therapist, I know firsthand the power of having a safe space to unpack things, from daily stress to ancestral trauma. Let's destigmatize mental health one session at a time.
The greatest gift of being a queer Latine therapist is witnessing the process. It's a true honor to walk alongside my clients as they grow, heal, and find their power. So much gratitude for these journeys and the trust they share with me.
Your ancestors and ancestras are cheering you on! Think of the queer trailblazers, the resilient immigrants, the healers, the artists, the fierce ones in your lineage. Their strength is in your DNA. Call on their wisdom to guide you through any challenges this week brings.
You are not alone!

Hey! I'm Larissa, a queer Latine therapist, and I've been thinking a lot about the layers in the show "Hunting Wives." 🏹
My therapy practice is a love letter to my community. As a queer, Latine therapist, I believe healing is an act of resistance. Let's reclaim our power and create a life that honors our whole selves.

My favorite self-care ritual?
Throwing on my favorite oversized sweater, lighting a fall candle, and sipping on a hot matcha latte while reading a good book. It's my reset button.

It's officially Sweater Weather season, & it's time to fully embrace the cozy vibes for a major well-being boost! Seriously, there's science behind why soft textures and warm drinks feel so good: they trigger feelings of comfort, security, and a reduction in stress and anxiety. #SweaterWeatherVibes
Navigating the path of healing is a journey of embracing our full selves. As a queer Latine therapist, I know that duality isn't a contradiction; it's a beautiful truth. We can hold both joy and pain, our cultural roots and our evolving identities. This is where the magic happens.
What's one aspect of traditional therapy culture you wish you could change? Let me know in the comments!

They remind us that we are part of something bigger, a beautiful and complex ecosystem that exists outside of our everyday struggles. For me, connecting with the earth is a way to reclaim my body and find a sense of belonging that's rooted in the land, not in the expectations of others.
In a world that often moves too fast and feels disconnected, I've been turning to two powerful sources: nature and our ancestors.
