About a week and a half ago my childhood dog had to be put down. She was the goodest girl and I feel so lucky to have grown up with her and that my family was able to give her a happy life for so long.

So true! We just started keeping spoods and they crawl into your heart so fast! We have kept betta fish for years, and it is definitely a similar response when we lose one of our fishy children. So uncalled for, every creature is valuable and lovable.
