Sunday Brunch:

‘Idlis’ famous South Indian breakfast food is like ‘dumpling’ steamed w no oils or any other…

Challenge to get fermented batter during winter - lucked out for debut try.

While growing, whenever under-weather ‘Idlis’ were the only thing allowed to eat at home!
Food Diaries:

#Idlis w #Chutney & #Tomato Gojju

Reminded me of eating w Raju after midnight in #Mysuru, while trying to staying awake all night during ‘MahaShivaratri’ festival!

Challenge now is for the two of us to finish all this 👆
Beautiful Fall Day!

Color . Color . What Color?

All colors found on the long walk through the woods that brought us so much joy!

Photos from Ankara, Alegeia & Cuba!

In Algeria in 2008, when hardly any US persons travelled, when we went we were treated w security detail during our stay (first time medical physicist treated w security detail).
It is a sad day for medical physics. I am very sad to hear Dr Adel Mustafa passed today. I had so many good memories traveling together to speak at workshops under the suspicious of @aapmHQ

We both did workshops together in Alegeria, Turkey, Brazil & even Cuba (2002).
We all know in order to obtain good quality images, the techniques has to change.

Nothing new but emphasizing importance of clinical justification is good to be repeated with data
Chest X-rays could play key role in addressing growing concern of overdiagnosis in lung cancer screening, in Asian popln

Low-dose CT (LDCT) screening led to increased detection of subsolid nodules…concerns re unnecessary treatment & patient anxiety

Congratulations @Tsinghua_Uni #MedicalPhysics program for celebrating 20 years of educating #medicalphysicists

Thanks for inviting me (as @aapmhq.bsky.social President) to be part of your celebrations (even virtually)

Wishing all the best for the many years to come!

Had a nice opportunity to meet w current officers of @trueMACAAPM chapter of @aapmhq.bsky.social & other emerging medical physicists.

Equally nice was meeting Hamid Aghdam, chapter president 2003 (2 years after I had served) recalling how much time we had spent together for the chapter!
It was very nice to meet so many familiar faces at the @trueMACAAPM chapter of @aapmhq.bsky.social annual meeting @georgetownlaw.bsky.social
Looking forward to speaking at the annual meeting of the @trueMACAAPM chapter of @aapmHQ for which I served as its President back in 2001

Alexandria Diaries:

Even after a long day some of us wanted to further discuss strategies re revenue streams etc, for @aapmhq , but we knew it was possible only w right catalyst

Alexandria Diaries:

Best part after a day long meeting is when we @aapmhq.bsky.social volunteers all gather to “break bread”

Dinner at Greek Restaurant was a nice respite after a busy day
Alexandria Diaries:

Day 2 was a busy day working through & approving the @aapmhq.bsky.social #Budget2026 presented by #FINCOM

Nice to see all smiling faces (EXCOM, FINCOM, Council Leadership & Staff) even after a long day of discussing - analyzing - strategizing
Alexandria Diaries:

After an all day EXCOM meeting, recalling how much time we (@ToddPawlicki & I) have spent in Alexandria while serving @aapmhq.bsky.social in the past several years.

First he as secretary & I as treasurer & now we both in Presidential Chain

Good memories to cherish!
Alexandria Diaries:

Bit late arriving to Alexandria Old Town Waterfront, yet a beautiful morning to savior the quietness, to sit & watch before getting to @aapmHQ #budget meeting that might keep us inside all day!
Essence of Diwali:

“Light will always conquer darkness, and good will always prevail over evil!”

Happy Deepavali to All!

Early morning in Alexandria, VA (glad I left home when it was still dark to be here to attend the @aapmhq.bsky.social ‘fall retreat’) watching Sunrise!
